Profiles

Jebsen & Co (Chinese: 捷成洋行) is a marketing, distribution and manufacturing company based and headquartered in Hong Kong. It is the agent for a range of businesses throughout East Asia, including luxury products, beverages, electronic consumer goods, and industrial equipment. It serves as the main distributor of Porsche, Dyson, Casio and Raymond Weil in the People's Republic of China and Hong Kong. Since 1906, the company has owned the brand Blue Girl beer, which commands leading market share in Hong Kong.

Currently Hans Michael Jebsen is the Chairman of the Group, with Helmuth Hennig as the Group Managing Director.

History

Founded in 1895 as a shipping agency, by Heinrich Jessen and Jacob Jebsen, Jebsen & Co later embraced the import-export trade business during British colonial rule. In 1953, Jebsen imported the first Volkswagen Beetle into Hong Kong. In 1963, the company was required to close its offices in China, opening them again in the late 1970s.

Jebsen & Co has twelve offices in Greater China, and as a member of the Jebsen and Jessen Family Enterprise the company has a global reach through six other companies, including Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) and Jebsen Industrial.
