The Japan Kennel Club (ジャパンケンネルクラブ) is the primary registry body for purebred dog pedigrees in Japan. The JKC also promotes events such as conformation shows and obedience trials for purebred dogs and confers championship and other titles in conformation, obedience and similar competitions, and certifies and examines groomers, trainers and other dog-related professionals.

The club was established in 1949 and adopted the name Japan Kennel Club in 1952. The Club became a member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (World Canine Federation) in 1979.
