Japalura luei is a species of lizard endemic to Taiwan. It has only been found in the mountains of Yilan County and Hualien County at elevations of 900 to 1800 m. Its length reaches 27 cm. It is oviparous. The name of the species comes from the name of Kuang-Yang Lue, to honor his contributions to the herpetology of Taiwan. It is listed as a rare and valuable species in the Taiwan Wildlife Conservation Act.
