History

Jank (band) Jank

Jank formed in 2015, from the ashes of Downingtown emo duo Panucci's Pizza which broke up in 2015. Ex-Panucci's Pizza frontman Matt Diamond decided to start a band containing tongue in cheek lyrics, a departure from their emotionally sincere lyricism displayed with Panucci's Pizza. Spawned in the bowels of the Kensington, Philadelphia basement DIY scene, they released their first full-length album in November of the same year via Funeral Sounds and Honest Face Records. In July 2016, Jank released a remixed version of their first album titled Awkward Chopped Songs. Jank also released a new EP in July 2016 titled Versace Summer.

Jank bassist Ruben Polo announced his departure in late 2016
