Jane Richards Roth (born 1935) is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She assumed senior status on May 31, 2006.

Biography

Roth received her B.A. from Smith College in 1956 and her L.L.B. from Harvard Law School in 1965. Before entering the judiciary, she was in private practice at the Delaware law firm of Richards, Layton & Finger. In 1985, Roth was nominated to the United States District Court for the District of Delaware by President Ronald Reagan. In 1991, she was nominated to the Third Circuit by President George H.W. Bush. Her husband was the late Sen. William V. Roth, Jr.

Roth was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Delaware Women in 2013.
