James Johnson (born February 25, 1943) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives since January 11, 2005 representing District 16.

  • 2012 Johnson was unopposed for the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 7,613 votes (96.5%) against Libertarian candidate John Machurek.
  • 2004 When Democratic Representative William I. Houghton retired and left the District 16 seat open, Johnson won the September 11, 2004 Democratic Primary with 1,136 votes (42.8%), and won the November 2, 2004 General election with 5,823 votes (81.5%) against Republican nominee James Stockwell.
