James J. Crist, Ph.D., CSAC, is a psychologist and a certified substance abuse counselor in Woodbridge, Virginia. He is the author of a number of self-help books for children and teenagers. Dr. Crist has also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Argosy University, where he taught courses in counseling and psychotherapy to graduate students. Born in Rochester, New York, he attended Williams College as an undergraduate and earned his doctoral degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently resides in Fort Washington, Maryland.
