James Hamblin (journalist)

James Hamblin M.D. is a writer and senior editor for The Atlantic. He focuses on writing about health, and he is the host of the online video show If Our Bodies Could Talk. He is also the author of If Our Bodies Could Talk, a general-interest textbook of anatomy and physiology published by Doubleday in December 2016.

Hamblin is a past Yale University Poynter Fellow in journalism. In 2016 he served as moderator at the launch of the White House Precision Medicine Initiative where he interviewed President Barack Obama. Hamblin has been named among the 140 people to follow on Twitter by Time, and BuzzFeed has called him "the most delightful MD ever." He has also been compared to Doogie Howser.
