James Rae Armstrong (1888 – 10 October 1915) was a Scottish professional footballer who played in the Scottish League for Kilmarnock and St Mirren.

Personal life

Armstrong enlisted as a private in the 5th Battalion of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders after the outbreak of the First World War in August 1914. He was killed in France on 10 October 1915 and buried in St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
