Jalal Barjes is a Jordanian poet and novelist. He won the Katara Prize for Arabic novel 2015, for his novel (snakes Fire / Ali Bin Mahmoud Alqassad love story), and rifqa doudin prize for the novel 2014, for his novel (dreamer guillotine), and roks bin zaeid al uzaizy prize, for his stories collection2012 (the earthquake). Jalal barjes was born in 06/03/1970 at Hanina village near Madaba city, he graduated in its schools, and then studied aeronautical engineering and worked in this field for many years, then he moved to work in the Jordanian press as an editor in the newspaper alanbat, and then as a reporter for the adustour neaspaper. then he returned to work in his past career. He started publishing his books and articles in the late nineties, in cultural Arab and jordainian newspaperes and journales.
he Work managing editor for a number of cultural magazines such as Madaba magazine, and pioneers magazine. In addition to editing headed by amkina journal which concerned with the ethics of the place. He wrote poetry, and story, literary articles, and the texts of the place, and the novel.he Interested in a writing of place where attention touched him through a third eye more than history, and geography in favor of aesthetic value through the vision of poetry beyond the place.
