Along with two seasons of bantam in Chicago, Prince played minor and junior hockey in Nottingham, and played 12 games for the Nottingham Lions in the senior English National Ice Hockey League at age 16. His father took a job with Ford Motor Company in Michigan, and Prince played in the Midwest Elite Hockey League.
