J. Ingo (lived c1800) was a Tyneside born son of a farmer from near Benwell, Newcastle.
He wrote "Sonnet, To Thomas Thompson, on his late address to J. Howard."
Of this sonnet Thomas Thompson was to remark that it was "The best piece of poetry these knights of the quill produced".
Nothing more appears to be known of this man, or his life, not even his Christian name.
