J. D. Neuhaus is a German air hoist, winches and crane manufacturer headquartered in Witten. It is one of the oldest privately owned companies for more than 260 years in Germany.
History
Johann Diederich Neuhaus established the company in 1745. Hoist using compressed-air driven vane motor was introduced in 1952. In 2008 the company employed 170 people with a turnover of €36 million.
