J Roberto Trujillo

José Roberto Trujillo is a neurovirologist. He is an assistant professor at the Institute of Human Virology of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and is head of its neurovirology laboratory.

Trujillo spent his childhood in San Pedro Zictepec in central Mexico. He studied neuroscience and virology at Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the United States, and became a research assistant at the Harvard School of Public Health.

In 2013 he received the Reconocimiento Ohtli or "Ohtli Award" of the Mexican government, given to Mexican citizens outside Mexico.
