J. Keith Stewart (born September 30, 1967) is an African American author. Born a single child, he later moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Washington, D.C. where he currently resides.

Stewart began his writing at Alabama A&M University, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Sphinx Magazine, a national publication for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, for two years.

Stewart self-published his first novel, Episodes, in 1999, and has since written four other novels. He is currently at work on his sixth novel, Sweet Love. He has been featured in Mosaic Writers, Prolific Writers Network, The Black Library, Literary World, and The Black Gay and Lesbian Archive.
