János Besenyő PhD (born 1972) is head of department at the Hungarian Defence Forces General Staff Scientific Research Centre.

His areas of research are Africa and the Middle East as well as peacekeeping, military logistics, Hungarian peace keeping operations in Africa, especially in Western Sahara, over and above the comparison of political cultures, political communication and intercultural communication, institution of kids army, DDR programs in Africa, terrorism, respectively the Christian - Muslim opposition on the continent.
