Ivan Martynovich Kostyakov (December 5, 1916 – January 27, 1983) – the Khakas writer and poet.

Ivan Kostyakov was born in ulus Sinyavino (nowadays Ust-Abakansky region of Khakassia) on December 5, 1916. He graduated from the seven-year school and a cooperative school in Kansk. He worked in the system of consumer cooperatives, then moved to Askizsky regional newspaper "Udarnik", and then at the regional newspaper "Hyzyl aal". He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After the war began working in the Khakas Regional Party Committee's Department of Propaganda and Agitation. Headed the Khakas publishing house.

Kostyakov's first works were published in the late 1930s. Kostyakov's poetry is presented by collections "New Year tree" (Naa chyl elkazy), "The new steppe" (Naa chaza), "The song of happiness" (Chask yra), etc. Collections of stories "On Animal Tracks" (An chollaryncha) and "My friends" (Minin nanchylary) have been written by him for children. Kostyakov's story "A silk belt" (Chibek hуr) about war and love was widely known. Kostyakov translated into Khakas language many Russian folk songs, as well as the Soviet-era songs.
