The film was shot on location in Italy (Tuscany, Romagna and Lazio) and won the 2001 GayVN Award for Best Foreign Video. "Italian Style is visually overwhelming", writes Onan the Vulgarian in "XFactor": "the men, the sets, the outdoor locations. Kazan's interleaving of multiple sex stories simultaneously is evidence of a master director at work".
