"It's a Good Day" is a popular song written by Peggy Lee and Dave Barbour and published in 1946. Peggy Lee's recording reached the Billboard charts in January, 1947 peaking at No. 16.

The song has been recorded by many singers since its introduction.

Peggy Lee dueted the song with Bing Crosby on four occasions on Crosby's Philco Radio Time show in 1946/47 and Crosby sang it solo on the June 11, 1947 program. This version was included in the album "Swingin' with Bing! Bing Crosby's Lost Radio Performances".

Vic Damone recorded it in 1946 and it was subsequently included in the album "Young Vic".

Perry Como included it on his 1955 RCA Victor album So Smooth.

Bing Crosby recorded "It's a Good Day" on January 28, 1960 and it was issued on a 45rpm disc by RCA Victor.

Dean Martin recorded it in 1973 and included it on his album Sittin' on Top of the World.

The song was also sung on November 8, 1963 by legendary Judy Garland on The Judy Garland Show and included in the album "Just for Openers".

It has been most recently recorded by Susie Arioli for her 2004 album "That's for Me".

Other Uses

The song served as the background score during the opening credits of Indian film director Rajkumar Gupta's 2008 debut film Aamir.

The song appeared on the TV shows Wilfred and Marvel's Agent Carter (while Peggy Carter was fighting in the cafe in Season 1).

In the film U Turn (1997), it played over the end credits.

In the 1999 film Blast From the Past the Perry Como version of the song played in the background when Father Calvin (Christopher Walken) was checking supplies in the bunker.

The song made an appearance on an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos.

In 2013, the song (Peggy Lee version) was used as backdrop in commercials for the University of Phoenix and also for Garnier.

In 1992, Col. Frank Slade (Al Pacino) sings a few lines in the movie Scent Of A Woman.
