The Isthmus of Ierapetra (Greek: Ισθμός της Ιεράπετρας), has a length of 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), connects the north coast to south coast of the island and is the most narrow part of Crete.
It is also known as partial inspiration for the landscape surrounding the city of Solitude in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
