The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC; Hebrew: תאגיד השידור הישראלי, Ta'agid Hashidur Haisraeli), branded as KAN (Hebrew: כאן, 'Here'), is an Israeli governmental body founded in 2015 by virtue of the Israeli Public Broadcasting law, for the purpose of replacing the old Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA), that the law orders its closure. The debut date was postponed several times. The law stipulate it to start operating on October 1, 2016, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced, after agreeing with Histadrut chairman, Avi Nissenkorn, to act to postpone this due date to the beginning of 2018. However, after some political pressure it may be delayed only for six months to April 30, 2017. The IBPC CEO is Eldad Koblenz and its chairman is Gil Omer.
