The Israeli Academy of Film and Television is a non-profit organization working in the fields of film and television in Israel. It is the Israeli equivalent of the US-based Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. It was founded in 1990 and as of 2012 has 750 members. The organization's board includes representatives of content creators, the film and television industry, representatives of local authorities and public figures. As of 2012, the board is chaired by the producer Eitan Evan and has 22 members.

Each year the academy gives the Israeli Film Academy Award (Ophir Award) for outstanding Israeli films. Since 2003, in light of the progress made by the television industry, the academy added a separate ceremony in the creative realm of television.
