Ismaili Jamatkhana is a place of congregational worship for Shia Ismaili Muslims. Ismailis belongs to Shia branch of Islam who followed Hazrat Ali (son-in-law and cousin of Muhammad) as a successor and First Imam after his death. His Highness the Aga Khan the 49th Imam of Ismailis is a direct descendant of Muhammad and Hazrat Ali. Jamatkhana is the place where Ismailis get together twice a day to perform their daily prayers and religious obligations.
