Elections to 50 local Union Councils in the Islamabad Capital Territory were held on November 30, 2015. The 50 chairmen elected constitute the Islamabad Municipal Corporation. The last local elections in Islamabad had been held in 1979 (only in rural areas).

There were 676,795 eligible voters. Tight security measures were enforced on polling day. No incidents of violence were reported.
