International Peace Garden Border Crossing

Location

US Port: 10947 US Route 281, Dunseith, North Dakota 58329 Canadian Port: Manitoba Highway 10, Boissevain, Manitoba R0K 0E0

The International Peace Garden Border Crossing is a crossing on the Canada–United States border connecting the towns of Boissevain, Manitoba and Dunseith, North Dakota. The border crossing is home to the International Peace Garden, established and administered equally by the United States and Canada. The Peace Garden was dedicated in 1932, just two years after this crossing was established as a port of entry.

The entrance for the Peace Garden is between the two border stations. Visitors to the Peace Garden can move freely from one country to the other, but upon departure must report for inspection at one of the two border stations, even if they return to the country from which they arrived.

Adjacent to this crossing is the International Peace Garden Airport on the North Dakota side of the border. It is a general aviation airport owned by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.
