Sneak peek new international market place to open in waikiki

International Market Place is an open-air shopping center located in Waikīkī on the island of O‘ahu. It first opened in 1956 as a commercial retail and entertainment center. On August 25, 2016, the International Market Place reopened as a modern shopping, dining and entertainment center, offering 345,000 square-feet of retailers and restaurants. Its tenants include approximately 90 stores and 10 restaurants. Its anchor tenant is a three-level, 80,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue, which is the department store’s only full-line Hawai‘i location.

Located at 2330 Kalākaua Avenue in Honolulu, International Market Place is situated on six acres of land owned by Queen Emma Land Company. The center is owned by Taubman and CoastWood Capital Group through a long-term land lease with Queen Emma Land Company. Taubman leases and manages the project. Revenues from the International Market Place directly support The Queen’s Medical Center, the state’s largest private nonprofit hospital, and its mission of providing quality healthcare to Hawai‘i residents.
