It is known as the "International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (International Newsletter)" or as the "International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (Maoist)" to distinguish it from an organisation of exactly the same name which espouses Hoxhaist Marxism-Leninism, which is generally known as the International Conference of Marxist–Leninist Parties and Organizations (Unity & Struggle) or the "International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (Hoxhaist)".
