The Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE) is a specialised centre in teaching, training and research with the largest Petroleum Engineering research programme in the UK. Founded in 1975 and based in the city of Edinburgh, IPE has expanded to the far reaches of Scotland in the Orkney Islands, and internationally, into the Middle East & Asia through its Approved Learning Partnerships.
