History

Though initially known as the Bellflower Conservatory, in 2000, the conservatory became a non-profit organization and gained the new name: the Institute of Art, Music, and Science (IAMS). The facility offers seven studios staffed by music instructors with educations from the University of Southern California.

Youth Musicians Program

With the funding of The Green Foundation in 2009- 2010, the institute was able to provide music scholarships to students in the surrounding schools based on financial need as well as the students' desire to learn classical music. Through this, the institute was able to provide a pathway for schools with limited art resources, to connect more young musicians with a music education that supports the cultivation of their musical talents.

This is still an expanding program.
