Inés Scotland is an Australian businesswoman. She is considered to be the most successful self-made female mining executive.

Scotland is the CEO of an ASX listed minerals project development company, Citadel Resource Group, Limited [1]. Citadel has a portfolio of gold and base metals projects in Saudi Arabia, with its operations headquarters located in Jeddah. Citadel is one of only a handful of western mining companies operating in Saudi Arabia, and Scotland is in a unique position as the only one headed by a woman.

Citadel recently announced the appointment of Owen Hegarty, Australian mining identity, who was the CEO of Oxiana until its recent merger with Zinifex to create OZ Minerals. Hegarty and Scotland both worked at Rio Tinto. It has also been reported that Citadel is moving its headquarters to Melbourne, Australia and retaining Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as the exploration base.

In a presentation to the Sydney Mining Club in July 2008, Scotland said that they were determined to build Citadel into the next mid-tier mining house on the back of their many projects in Saudi and some potential business development activities.

Ines has been included on the BRW Rich Executive List with a debut position at No.60 out of 300. She was one of only 5 women to be included in 2009.

Since the 2010 takeover of Citadel by Equinox Minerals, which was then taken over by Barrick Gold, Ines has sat on a number of Company Boards and spent time as the CEO of Ivanhoe.
