The systematic name of this enzyme class is imidazoleacetate:5-phosphoribosyl-diphosphate ligase (ADP- and diphosphate-forming). This enzyme is also called 5-phosphoribosylimidazoleacetate synthetase. This enzyme participates in histidine metabolism.
