Background

Walker stated "`If You Ever Feel Like Lovin' Me Again' is a song I can listen to over and over and over again. It has a cool charm to it." Walker also said, "It seems real simple and laidback, but the melody is just so infectious. People who hear it-whether they like traditional country or pop country-can't seem to get it out of their heads. Maybe that's why it's my favorite song on the record."

Content

The track is about a male narrator who is telling his former female lover that "If you ever feel like lovin' me again" he will allow her back into his life even though he knows the relationship is over.
