Idris Olagoke Badmus is the founder and president of the African Center Foundation, an international humanitarian organization which help communities and people in Africa with educational and industrial development.

Biography

Badmus was born in Ibadan, Nigeria on June 6, 1966. He started his writing career at the age of seventeen when he wrote a short drama for the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Badmus founded African Center in 1989. African Center is the first non-governmental Organization from Africa to become the Chapter of the United Nations. African Center is located in fifteen African countries, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Badmus is the Editor-In-Chief of the Africa Today, a multilingual, international news magazine, published in Italian, French, and English. Africa Today was first published in 1994. He won the Association of Nigerian Authors' New Poet Award in 1990.

Badmus is the President and CEO of African Network Inc, the President of Afrosea Seafood Group, and is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Nigeria Authors, the Catholic Caritas, the Brooklyn Development Corporation, and the African American Chambers of Commerce and Industrial Development.

He is currently consulting on pharmaceutical compliance and drugs registration in Africa for the Council of Science in New York City and Chembio Diagnostics Inc. He is married and lives in New York.
