IMPRO Amsterdam International Improvisation Theatre Festival. is the largest theatre festival in Europe focussed only on improvisational theatre. Established in 1995, it takes place annually in Amsterdam over one week, typically starting at the end of January. The festival has been organised in many venues throughout Amsterdam, but currently all shows and workshops are organised in Het Compagnietheater. The festival is organised by a group of volunteers from TVA IMPRO.
