IEEE COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Abbottabad

IEEE COMSATS Institute of Information Technology-Abbottabad Student branch was formerly known as THE HERTZ SOCIETY in COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. The society started on April 12, 2010. Basic purpose of HERTZ society was to represent and to provide a platform of students of Electrical Engineering department of COMSATS and to organize different events in campus and National level (EMCOT).

With the time Hertz Society joins hands with IEEE to expands it horizons. On February 3, 2012 IEEE approved request to form its student branch in COMSATS Abbottabad and THE HERTZ SOCIETY upgraded to IEEE COMSATS Inst. of Info Technology Abbottabad Student Branch. It also known as IEEE HERTZ in COMSATS Abbottabad
