Hypatima trachyspila is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1933. It is found in Sierra Leone.

The wingspan is about 14 mm. The forewings are pale ochreous irregularly sprinkled brownish, with a few whitish scales and an undefined elongate patch of fuscous suffusion along the median third of the costa, cut by a short oblique white line before the middle, beneath this two spots of irroration formed of raised black scales obliquely placed in the disc preceded by whitish suffusion, a small spot of similar irroration beyond the extremity of the line, a similar small spot above the dorsum at one-third, as well as some indistinct fuscous mottling towards the costa posteriorly and several very small blackish terminal dots. The hindwings are grey.
