The name Frieda has been used for two tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.

  • 1957's Hurricane Frieda - looped in the western Atlantic without hitting land.
  • 1977's Tropical Storm Frieda - a weak and short-lived storm that caused moderate rainfall in Belize.


    • The name Freda has been used for one tropical cyclone in the Pacific Ocean.

  • 1962's Typhoon Freda - after becoming extratropical, this storm did significant damage to Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia as the Columbus Day Storm of 1962
