The Hul'qumi'num Treaty Group was founded in 1993 to negotiate a treaty with the Province of British Columbia and Government of Canada. The organization is based in Duncan, British Columbia.

Members

The group is made up of 6000 members from the following First Nations:

  • Chemainus First Nation - Chemainus, BC
  • Cowichan Tribes - Duncan, BC
  • Halalt First Nation - Kuper Island, BC
  • Lake Cowichan First Nation - Cowichan Lake, British Columbia
  • Lyackson First Nation - Valdes Island, BC
  • Penelakut Tribe - Chemainus, BC
