Howard Joseph Hancock (December 20, 1894 – February 1978) was the 12th head football coach for the Illinois State Redbirds in Normal, Illinois and he held that position for fourteen seasons, from 1931 until 1944. His overall coaching record at ISU was 57 wins, 45 losses, and 19 ties. This ranks him second at ISU in terms of total wins and sixth at ISU in terms of winning percentage.
