Hossein Seifzadeh (born May 26, 1950) (Persian: سید حسین سیف زاده‎‎) is an Iranian political scientist and author. Seifzadeh was a professor of political science and international relations at the University of Tehran, before he was forced to retire due to his opposition to fundamentalism and belief in pro-democracy and cosmopolitan perspectives. He has written 22 books and 189 English and Persian academic papers.

He is the younger brother of Mohammad Seifzadeh, Iranian lawyer and human rights activist, currently in prison for defending human right activists and political prisoners.

Since his ultimate migration to United States, he has been teaching at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland.
