Awful Egyptians is a 2007 stage show, which is part of the "Live on Stage" series in the Horrible Histories franchise. The show was created by the Birmingham Stage Company, and premiered at the Civic Theatre, Darlington on 06 Feb 2007. It made its Australian debut at the Sydney Opera House. It is written by Terry Deary, and adapted by Ciaran McConville and John-Paul Cherrington. It is 115 min long.

Reception

The show was given a rating of 3 stars out of 5 by the Sydney Morning Herald. It said that unlike the TV series, "the stage show comes across like an old-school pantomime, full of groaning puns, crude slapstick, threadbare jokes and rubber props", though added that children loved it.
