Homer Daniel Babbage Jr. (May 18, 1925 - March 27, 1984) was an American historian who served as president of the University of Connecticut from 1962 to 1972. At time of appointment at age 37, he was the youngest state university president in the nation. He presided over major growth in academics, and Homer D. Babbidge Library is named after him. Babbidge was a member of the Acorn Club, elected in 1953.
