Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church is a Russian Orthodox church in Mebane, North Carolina.

History

Holy Trinity Church was founded in late 1991 as a missionary parish of the Eastern-American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, a self-governing part of the Russian Orthodox Church. Prior to the building of the church, Divine Liturgy services too place at various private residences and were performed by traveling priests Fr. George Kallur of New York and Dr. Anastasy Yatrelis of Summerville under the omophorion of Metropolitan Hilarion. In 2002-2003, with the blessing of Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan, Priest Viatcheslav Davidenko came from Atlanta to serve the community.

After a brief hiatus, members of the community resumed holding weekly reader services at private residences in 2006. In October 2006, Priest Alexander Logunov, rector of the Reigning Icon of the Theotokos mission in Charlotte, was appointed interim rector of the parish.

In August 2007, the parish acquired property along U.S. Route 70 between the towns of Efland and Mebane. In 2009, the parish erected an Iconostasis.

In 2011, the parish appointed Fr. Alexander Davydov of Kursk, Russia to be the rector. However, in November 2011, Fr. Alexander returned to Russia. At that same time, Metropolitan Hilarion appointed Hieromonk Gabriel (Kvasnikov) to be the spiritual director of the community.
