The ninth cycle of Holland's Next Top Model premiered on 30 August 2016. Like the three previous seasons, this cycle is hosted by Anouk Smulders. May-Britt Mobach and Dirk Kikstra did not return as judges this season and were replaced with fashion blogger Anna Nooshin and fashion photographer Alek Bruessing. Fred van Leer continues his role contestants' coach and also sit on the judging this cycle as well. This year, the cast consists of 12 contestants, with the international destination being set in Ibiza. The winner of the season was the 20 year old Frisian Akke Marije Marinus.
