Hjalmar Stolpe

Hjalmar Stolpe (23 April 1841 – 27 January 1905), was a Swedish entomologist, archaeologist, and ethnographer. He was born in Gävle, and is most well known for his archaeological excavations at the Viking-age site Birka. One of the graves he documented there, Bj 581, has been further analysed to be the grave of a female viking warrior.
