Hiyoko Island

Hiyoko Island is an island lying 1.1 kilometres (0.6 nmi) southwest of Nesøya in the northeastern part of Lützow-Holm Bay, Antarctica. It is the easternmost of three small islands which lie 1 kilometre (0.5 nmi) northwest of the strait separating Ongul Island and East Ongul Island. The island was mapped from surveys and air photos by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, 1957–62, whose headquarters gave the name "Hiyoko-jima" (baby chick island) in 1972.
