History
Hip Hop High began in 2007 as a stage musical, with book written by Z-man and Cindy Topps, and based on a screenplay by Rodney Thornton and Z-man. The story is set in an urban city, involving a cast of characters in the racially diverse neighborhood of New York City. It premiered at the 2010 New York International Fringe festival. By 2013, Rodney Thornton registered Hip Hop High the Musical as a live performance by a musical group, and Hip Hop High as a clothing and footwear brand and trademark, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
