Profiles

Hillenbrand, Inc. is an American manufacturing company that engineers, manufactures and sells business-to-business products and services into a variety of end markets. Hillenbrand consists of multiple subsidiaries contained within two business platforms: Batesville Casket Company supplies coffins and cremation urns to the North American funeral industry, and Process Equipment Group designs and produces equipment and systems used in processing applications.

The company was incorporated on November 1, 2007, in the U.S. state of Indiana, and began trading on the NYSE under the symbol "HI" on April 1, 2008. It became a publicly traded company as the result of the separation of Hillenbrand Industries, Inc. (also referred to as Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. or "Hill-Rom") into two separate publicly traded companies, Hillenbrand and Hill-Rom.
