Highway is a Dutch soft drink brand which is sold as a cheap store brand by supermarkets chains in the Netherlands like Laurus and Sligro Food Group.

The brand includes different variations of soft drinks like Coke and Diet Coke. All drinks are sold in plastic bottles with a volume of 1.5 liters and in cans with a volume of 0.33 liters. The price of a bottle is around €0.50 while the tins are sold around €0.25/0.35.

The labels of the tins and bottles are recognizable by the multiple horizontal lines that get wider when they near the edges. Because the label of the normal version have a lot of white stripes on it, the product is sometimes mistaken for diet coke.

Since June 2009, the light version features the name Speedway instead of Highway, and the logo is changed to the word Energy Drink and written in graffiti style letters.

Energy drink

Highway also has an energy drink on the Dutch market. It is similar in taste to Red Bull, but it is less expensive. Highway energy drink sells around a price of €0.29-€0.36, depending on the store. The energy drink has an amount of 320 mg/l caffeine.
