Dr. jur. Hermann Bockel (13 September 1894 – 2 February 1984) was a highly decorated Oberst of the Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hermann Bockel was captured in May 1945.
